How EventFerry works
EventFerry reads your published Outlook calendar and mirrors it into a Google Calendar it manages for you. Here is exactly what happens.
1. You publish your Outlook calendar
Step-by-step directions are here. Outlook can publish a calendar as a private, unguessable ICS link. EventFerry uses that link to read your events. It does not need your Microsoft password and never signs in to your account. If you stop sharing the link in Outlook, EventFerry loses access immediately.
2. You connect Google once
You approve EventFerry in Google's own consent screen. EventFerry then creates a separate calendar in your Google account for the synced events. Your existing personal calendar is never modified.
3. EventFerry keeps it current
- The first sync runs the moment you connect.
- After that, EventFerry checks for changes every 15 minutes.
- New meetings are added, moved meetings are updated and cancelled meetings are removed.
- Press Sync now any time you cannot wait.
One direction, by design
Events flow from Outlook to Google. That keeps Outlook as the single source of truth and means a change in Google can never corrupt your work calendar.
When something needs your attention
EventFerry does not fail quietly. If Google access has expired, the dashboard says so and offers Reconnect Google. If your Outlook link changed or was unpublished, it says so and offers Replace Outlook link. Temporary problems, such as an outage at Google or Microsoft, are retried automatically.
Your data
Your Outlook link and Google access are stored encrypted. You can delete your account at any time, which removes the calendar EventFerry created, revokes Google access and deletes your stored data. Read the privacy policy for details.
